Romania is an EU member and, since 1 January 2025, also fully part of the Schengen Area. Romanian citizens work in Germany under the same conditions as Germans. Many of our applicants come from Moldova or Ukraine and have Romanian citizenship. We also speak Russian.

Who can apply

We hire people with a valid passport or ID card from an EU country. Where you live now does not matter. We also accept applications from Ukrainians with temporary protection and from people who already have a residence permit in Germany that allows work.

What is not enough

  • only a certificate of citizenship, without a passport or ID card
  • a Romanian residence permit without EU citizenship
  • expired documents

You come from Moldova? Please also read our page for applicants from Moldova. General rules: Who can work in Germany?

Why Germany

  • Pay from €15.33 per hour gross
  • Employment contract with us as a German staffing agency (temporary work), with assignments at client companies in logistics, warehousing and production
  • Social insurance: health, pension, unemployment and long-term care insurance
  • Paid holidays and continued pay when you are sick

We are looking for forklift drivers, warehouse workers and production helpers in Göttingen, Hanover and Paderborn.

Which jobs we offer

  • Forklift driver: move goods with a forklift, load and unload. A forklift licence is a big advantage.
  • Warehouse worker: receive goods, pick orders, pack and check.
  • Production helper: simple tasks on the production line, sorting, packing.

We choose the work location together with you.

German language skills

German is a plus – at work and in everyday life. But we also consider applications from people who do not speak German yet. If you like, we can speak Russian with you.

How it works

  1. You fill in the application form.
  2. We contact you by phone or messenger.
  3. We discuss the work location and conditions and sign the employment contract.
  4. We help you move and register your address. Accommodation can be provided if you wish.

You register your address (Anmeldung) at the citizens’ office (Bürgeramt) within two weeks after moving in. You need your passport or ID card and the landlord’s confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). After that, your tax ID (Steuer-ID) arrives by post. Then you open a bank account and choose a health insurance fund. We explain every step to you.

The first days

We do not leave you alone after you arrive. We explain which appointments are coming up – for example the registration at the citizens’ office (Bürgeramt) – which documents you need for them and how to set up a bank account and health insurance. You can ask us questions at any time, in German, English or Russian.

Tip: Before you leave, take photos or copies of your most important documents and keep them separate from the originals.

Travel

You can travel by bus, by plane or in your own car. Only buy your ticket once the start date is fixed, and keep your documents in your hand luggage.

Documents to bring

  • valid passport or ID card from an EU country
  • birth certificate (optional)
  • driving licence, if you have one
  • forklift licence, if you have one – a big advantage for forklift drivers
  • bank details later, once you have a German account

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a work permit as a Romanian?
No. Romanian citizens are EU citizens and can work in Germany without a visa or work permit.
I live in Moldova and have a Romanian passport. Can I apply?
Yes. What matters is the right to work in Germany – and your EU citizenship gives you that right – not where you live now.
Is the Romanian ID card enough?
Yes, a valid Romanian ID card is enough.
