Many Russian-speaking people live in Estonia – some with Estonian citizenship, some with the so-called grey passport. This decides whether you may work in Germany without a visa. If you wish, we can speak Russian with you.

Who can apply

We hire people with a valid passport or ID card from an EU country, for example Estonian citizens. You then do not need a visa or work permit. We also accept applications from Ukrainians with temporary protection and from people who already have a residence permit in Germany that allows them to work.

The „grey passport“ alone is not enough

The Estonian alien’s passport („grey passport“) is issued to people with undetermined citizenship. Its holders are not EU citizens. Short visa-free trips in the Schengen Area are possible, but there is no automatic right to work in Germany. An Estonian residence permit alone is not enough either. If you already live in Germany and have a residence permit that allows you to work, you can apply. More: Who can work in Germany?

Why Germany

  • Pay from €15.33 per hour gross
  • Employment contract with us as a German staffing agency (temporary work), working at client companies in logistics, warehouses and production
  • Social insurance: health, pension, unemployment and long-term care insurance
  • Paid holidays and sick pay

We are looking for forklift drivers, warehouse workers and production helpers in Göttingen, Hanover and Paderborn, for example as a production helper.

Which jobs we offer

  • Forklift driver: moving goods with a forklift, loading and unloading. A forklift licence is a big advantage.
  • Warehouse worker: receiving goods, picking orders, packing and checking.
  • Production helper: simple tasks on the production line, sorting, packing.

We discuss the work location together with you.

German language skills

German is a plus – at work and in everyday life. But we also consider applications from people who do not speak German yet. If you wish, we can speak Russian with you.

How it works

  1. Fill in the application form
  2. Interview by phone or messenger
  3. Employment contract
  4. Moving: we help with moving and address registration (Anmeldung). Accommodation can be provided on request.

You register your address at the citizens’ office (Bürgeramt) within two weeks of moving in. After that, your tax ID (Steuer-ID) arrives by post. Then you open a bank account and choose a health insurance fund (Krankenkasse). More at Moving and registration.

The first days

We do not leave you alone after you arrive. We explain which appointments are coming up – such as address registration at the citizens’ office (Bürgeramt) –, which documents you need for them and how to set up your bank account and health insurance. You can ask us questions at any time, in German, English or Russian.

Tip: Before you leave, take photos or copies of your most important documents and keep them separate from the originals.

Travel

Bus, plane or your own car – choose what suits you best. Only buy your ticket once your start date has been agreed.

Documents to bring

  • valid passport or ID card from an EU country
  • birth certificate (optional)
  • driving licence, if you have one
  • forklift licence, if you have one – a big advantage
  • bank details later

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply with the Estonian alien's passport („grey passport“)?
No. Holders of the alien's passport are not EU citizens. The passport does not give an automatic right to work in Germany. You can apply if you have a German residence permit that allows you to work.
Is the Estonian ID card enough?
Yes, a valid ID card of an Estonian citizen is enough.
Do I need to speak German?
German is a plus. But we also consider applications without German.
