Without forklifts, nothing works in any warehouse and in hardly any production company. That is why experienced forklift drivers are in great demand in Germany. We are looking for forklift drivers (m/f/d) for assignments at our client companies in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.
What a working day looks like
At the start of the working day, you receive your tasks from the foreman or the warehouse management. You check the forklift and start work: loading and unloading lorries, moving pallets, putting goods away on the racks.
In production, you make sure that material arrives at the line on time and that finished goods go to the warehouse. You often work with a hand scanner and book the movements in the system. Safety always comes first.
Typical tasks
- Loading and unloading lorries and containers
- Moving pallets in the warehouse and in production
- Putting goods into and taking them out of high-bay racks
- Supplying production lines with material
- Working with a hand scanner and warehouse documents
Requirements
You must be allowed to work in Germany – as an EU citizen, as a Ukrainian with temporary protection or with a residence permit that allows work. You can read more about this under Who can work in Germany. A forklift licence is a big advantage, and so is warehouse experience. German skills are a plus, but we also consider applications without German.
What we offer
- Pay from €16.08 per hour gross
- Employment contract with us as a German staffing service provider (temporary work)
- Social insurance: health, pension, unemployment and long-term care insurance
- Paid holidays and continued pay when you are sick
- Free of charge for applicants
- Help with moving and registration
- Accommodation can be provided on request
We are your employer, and you will be placed with client companies from logistics, warehousing and production in the region. You can find out exactly how this works under How it works.
First steps in Germany
After you arrive, we support you with the most important formalities: registration at the citizens’ office (Bürgeramt) within two weeks of moving in (with your passport or ID card and the landlord’s confirmation, Wohnungsgeberbestätigung); after that, your tax ID arrives by post. You also need a bank account, a health insurance fund and a social security number. You can find the details under Moving and registration.
Who is this job for?
This job suits you if you have already worked as a forklift driver – in your home country or in another country. If you have warehouse experience and know logistics processes, you have also come to the right place. Reliability and safe driving are what matter. Even if you already live in Germany and would like a change, we look forward to your application.
